The 2020 Nero d'Avola is dark with exotic spices, masses of black raspberry and a contrasting hint of mint that forms its bouquet. This is a fruit-forward and juicy effort, yet balance is nicely maintained through cooling acidity and a trace of sour citrus. It finishes fresh with hints of licorice and inner rose tones that linger. As entry-level Nero d'Avola goes, this is an excellent value.
