The 2017 Beaune Les Perrières 1er Cru includes one-third whole clusters and matures in around 20% new oak. It has a small reduction on the nose but underneath are lively red and black fruit sporting a faint marine influence. The palate is well balanced with fleshy red fruit, quite sumptuous in the mouth with a caressing red cherry and crushed strawberry finish laced with white pepper. This should offer a decade's worth of drinking pleasure.
