Porer is pure Pinot Grigio, but it is far from a simple wine. This is a winemaker's wine, all about the joy of experimenting and bringing different techniques together to produce a fascinatingly complex product. One part of the grapes was pressed immediately after harvest to keep the fresh flavors and aromas. Another part was kept on the skins for 15 hours and the third part was in contact with stems and skins for about one year, absorbing color, some tannin, and other rich flavor components.
Pair with starters, pates and terrines, cold meat, all kinds of fish and seafood, white meat and poultry.

This may be one of the most captivating Pinot Grigios from Alto Adige. One-third of the wine was in contact with the skins and stems for roughly a year, giving the wine an earthy and mineral-driven nose that is supported by baked apple and dried wildflowers. The palate is dynamic and complex, seesawing between peach and pear, then wet gravel, savory spice and dried herbs, finishing with amazing texture.

The 2020 Porer Vigneti lifts from the glass with a delicate yet pretty mix of spring flowers and musky peach. This washes across the palate, soft and generous, with a mineral tinge to its ripe orchard fruits. Citrus and exotic spice hints linger, while the 2020 finishes a bit short and with a bitter twang.
